Holiday Happy

There were two things that were very pleasing tonight.

First, I managed to purchase a St. Nicholas present for Noel, right
under her nose. The pharmacist was even in on it, and hid the present
from view. I love collaborative efforts to surprise people,
especially when it involves the help of random, nice people.

Second, during our dinner out, the Christmas tunes revolved to the
song "Noel, Noel". You should have seen my girl's (Noel's) face! She
had an adorable, almost 4-year-old expression that was a mixture of
shyness and extreme happiness. Her grin was blazing...

*satisfied sigh*
oooo, these things make me happy...

My dad said I'm not supposed to put up the xmas tree till the 8th. Otherwise what's St. Nick going to do.

Are you intending to surprise her with blood pressure meds?

I want a surprise from the pharmacist this Christmas! Everything I'm getting this year is A) not a surprise, and B) from Sportmart, the ski shop, or the secondhand video game store.

Cool. I love those little tricks too, tho I don't get to pull them very often. Glad Noel likes 'her' song(s). I've been wondering what D is going to get this year - but he's been writing a list for the Christmas Father (as he calls him) so he clearly has some idea...

*grin* I'm glad to share!

Rebekah:
Hmmm, that's a good one. It may be hard when she enters grade school, but I'll maintain that it's her song for as long as possible....
And, babe, I've been callin' but you haven't been answerin'....

Don G:
Er....I think it's a Dutch and German tradition, but as SFMD said, I'm German. ;)
Oh, lookee...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Nicholas

SFMD:
*laughing..* That's cool, as long as it falls on a weekend and we're not going out of town for 2 weeks (boring adult logistics that have influenced me to put up the Christmas tree earlier than I ever have before in my entire life.)

Jay:
LMAO. Er...good guess...nope! It was a cabbage patch-which she had a very lukewarm reaction to. The pharmacist was handling some other Christmas presents...dOt!....aw, now Lever's gonna know what I got him!
Naw. :D

Ellen:
LMAO. Aw, you, too! See previous response...

Groucho C:
*laughing...* Yeah, surprises are a great thing. I try to surprise people as much as I can and I've gotten a few myself. As for gifts from the pharmacist, maybe I'm narrow minded, but in my estimation, the only cool gift from there would be if a better sex drug came out. That would be a hilarious gift (which should be given in lingerie. *wink*)

My Lever:
Thanks babe. *mmmmmuuuuhwah*

Narthex:
Ain't that the truth. ;)

Mummy/Crit:
The tricks are *definitely* a major jy of parenting for me. Noel has a lifetime of trickery ahead of her.... *wink*
Er....and D'Arcy better get that letter mailed off soon so it reaches Santa in time...
